I have the honor to enclose, for the information of the Earl of Carnarvon, copy of a letter addressed by the Crown Agents for the Colonies to the Government of Hong Kong on the 11 ultimo, expecting the state of their account with this Department.
The suspension of Agra & Masterman's Bank will lead to considerable inconvenience and difficulty in discharging the liabilities of the Colony, which must necessarily be met before further remittances can be received from Hong Kong.
